Effective 1 October 2026
PointCop collects nothing, sends nothing and has no servers. Everything the app remembers stays on your device and disappears when you uninstall it.
This policy explains what PointCop ("the app") does with information. It is short because the app does very little: it keeps the score of a padel or tennis match on your own device.
Information we collect
None. The app has no account, no sign-up, no login and no contact form. We do not collect your name, your email address, your location, your contacts, your photos or any identifier for advertising.
Information stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of data locally so it behaves sensibly the next time you open it:
- Your match format: number of sets, golden point or advantage, tie-break settings.
- The team colours and names you chose.
- Your language choice, when you set one instead of following the phone.
- The state of a match in progress, so closing the app by accident does not lose the score.
Where that data goes
Nowhere. It is written to your phone's own app storage. It is not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not shared with anyone. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
Your phone's operating system may include app data in a backup you have enabled yourself, such as an Android or iCloud backup. That backup is yours and is governed by Google's or Apple's terms, not ours.
Connecting to a watch
If you pair a Garmin or Wear OS watch, the app exchanges messages with it to show the score on the watch and to receive the points you add from your wrist. Those messages contain the score and the match settings, nothing else.
On Android the exchange goes through the Garmin Connect or Wear OS companion app over the link your phone already has with the watch. On iOS it goes through Garmin Connect. The data travels between your own two devices; it does not reach us.
Permissions the app asks for
The app requests Bluetooth permissions on Android. They are used for one thing only: talking to a watch you have paired. If you never pair a watch, the app never uses them, and it works fully without them.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
There are none. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter and no tracking of any kind. It does not profile you and it makes no automated decisions about you.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to give you, correct or erase. The data on your device is under your control: clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes all of it.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts collecting anything, this page will say so before that version ships, and the effective date above will change.
